I have power point 2002. I was working on a presentation
and the program locked up. The only way I could get it
to respond was to shut off the power. I tried all the
other methods, cnt alt del task manager etc. Nothing
worked. After I shut it down and started back up, the
file I had opened will not respond. When I try to open
it, I get an error message that power point cannot open
the file represented by ... then it goes on to list the
location of the file. It also does not show up in the
preview when i try to open it in power point. No other
ppt file seems affected. I did a lot of work on this
file and am hoping there is some way to recover from
this. The .ppt extension seems ok. I have tried copying
it renaming it trying it on another machine nothing
works. Any suggestions would be greatly apprectiated.

Sounds like the file became corrupted. Look here for solutions to solve
this problem.

Good luck in the recovery.
