Hi, I'm currently using Excel 2007. I'm exporting an Excel Worksheet from a
web application. When I save it down it saves as an xls file 97-2003
Worksheet. When I open it I receive the message:
"The file you are trying to open, '[filename]', is in a different format
than specified by the file extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted
and is from a trusted source before opening the file. Do you want to open the
file now?" (Yes | No | Help)"
I've looked into this message and most other users seem to be able to open
the document fine once they select "Yes". My document should open as a neat
table with a number of rows and columns. However when I select "Yes" instead
it opens in one cell with various code starting with
"+ADw-table+AD4APA-tr+AD4APA-td..." etc. I don't understand the problem here
as from what I can tell it's simply a case of opening an Excel 2003 document
in Excel 2007. I'd appreciate any help on this.
Thanks,
