Hi averyone, I'm having troubles since I've trasnfered ths
FSMO roles to my new DC.
When I try to open Domain Security Policy and/or Domain
Controller Security Policy, I get the following error
message:

Group Policy Error
Failed to open Group Policy Object. You may not have
appropiate rights.
Details:
The network path was not foudn.

I'm logged with the Admin users...so I don't have any
ideas of what could be happening here.

I've tried "http://support.microsoft.com/?id=294257"
wothout results.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hi Pablo-

It sounds like this machine may be having trouble contacting the PDC
Emulator (even if it is itself).

I would suggest running a DCDIAG /V from this computer. If you see an error
in the FSMOCheck test, particularly under the PDC check, then that would
mean that the PDC specific SRV is not present, or the one that is there is
not correct.

This SRV would be located in the MSDCS 'folder' in your forward lookup zone
for the domain (the structure of exactly where it is may vary depending on
the version of your AD-2000 or 2003, but it will be in MSDCS). You can
manually check for it on the domain controller/DNS server which the server
you see the error below on.

Please repost if we can help futher.
