Problem opening and creating DB with Access 2007

When I open a Db (created in a different computer) or trying to create
a new empty database,Access does nothing but goes only into the
"Introduction to Access 2007".When i try to create an empty database,
nothing is created in the folder I have selected.Which could be the
causes?

does ANY db open in your 2007? you may need to reinstall or repair
Office..it's a valid program?
