Hello,

Hope someone can help me. I have a home netowrk set up and all the harddrives are shared so that they an be accessed from the other systems.

All the systems are able to see and access my XP systems howver my Vista systems can be seen by the othe rmachines but get access denied message trying to open the drive or map the the drive.

From an XP system trying to get to a Vista system, I get:
the message acces denied.

From a Vista system I get access denied trying to map the drive, clicking dtails reports error 0x80070005 access denied and clicking diagnose reports the share is ccessible but the username I am logged in with was denied access.

The shares on Vista had the passwords turned off.

Hope some one can help me resolve this.

Thanks in advance.

Hi
If the Sharing of a Drive/Folder is not working well the component can not
be Mapped.
Make sure that the Software Firewall on each computer allows free local
traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall On, Vista/XP Native Firewall should
be Off, and the active Firewall has to adjusted to your Network IP numbers
on what is some time called the Trusted Zone (consult your 3rd Party
Firewall instructions.
