Hi,
I hope someone can shed some light on this for me.
I have a PC with Windows 2000 Professional, which was already in a
domain. After installing Windows XP Professional on another partition
and giving it the same computer name as the Windows 2000 installation
(this may have been my error!), this was added to the same domain.
The problem is that when I try to log in to the domain on the Windows
2000 partition, I get the following message:
The system cannot log you on to this domain because
the system's computer account in its primary domain is
missing or the password on that account is incorrect.
Can anyone tell me why this might be? Is it because I gave the
Windows XP "computer" the same name as the existing Windows 2000
"computer"?
Many thanks,
Fraser Moore
