I am getting an error message that I cannot load my version of VBA in Access
2000; I presume that I checked the wrong version at some point. No matter
what I do I cannot uncheck that version (because its in use). I have
uninstalled and installed Office with no change.

I have a similar problem with Word.

How do I unload this corrupted or wrong version of VBA in Access? What is
the right version of VBA for Access 2000?

Experienced something similar recently.
I had an Access 2003 app open on screen.
Opened Access 2000 at the same time, and created a new database.
The new Access 2000 database ended up with a reference to the "Microsoft
11.0 Object LIbrary", and no code would work.

The fix was to close A2003, create a new A2000 database, and import
everything.

Post back if that does not solve the problem.

The problem only occurs on a single computer. It has never occurred on my
other computers; moreover, this happens on all of my databases on that
computer and no where else. Ergo, I do not see this as a problem of the
specific application or database, but the way I configured the computer.

Okay. Since a reinstall did not fix the problem, work on the assumption that
a registry setting was left in place.

MS has a utility name Eraser2k.exe which will erase the registry settings
for Office 2000 after an uninstall. You could grab it, uninstall, run
eraser2k, and then try installing again.

It's important not to use Eraser2k with later versions of Office.
