problem loading software

I recently changed my broadband supplier or attempted to. I used a company
called "Now" because I was interested in a wirelless broadband and they
offered a service which suited my criteria. The modem responded well ( this
is the new generation which operates without the need for a BT or other line)
however I could not load the software I kept getting a timed out message.
"Now" sent over a technician and he was equally baffled. I then took my comp.
to a qualified technician who stated that the comp. was perfectly healthy and
should accept the software. "Now" sent me another disc on the off chance that
it may have been a corrupt disc. but to no avail the same problem arose. I
have closed down all firewalls etc. including any spyware but it will still
not accept the software. Could it be a glitch in my XP Pro. I do not have the
problem with any other software. I apologise for the long blurb and I may
have posted twice in error. Any help or suggestions would be gratefully
received.
I am using windows XP Version 5.1.2600

Hi

See if you can install the software from Safe Mode.
