Fred

I am unable to access 2 websites that work on other
computers. First is "www.navyfcu.org", from there click
on the first "sign on" button next to account access.
This page will not load. Second is "www.usaa.com", this
won't load at all.

With MS update, it looks for updates, but comes back with
error (0x800A138F).

Also MS Messenger 6.1 will not connect. Error is
(0x81000310). And cannot activate Windows XP through
internet.

Please help, thank you.

There are some entries for this problem here:

I found that Norton Internet Security can cause this.

I had the same problem with the Update website and some
others (like hotmail and yahoo mail inbox). The fix was
to decrease the MTU of my DSL modem. You have to set it
to some low value like 1400. Downlod DrTCP available on
the net to do that. Let the group know if it fixes your
problem.
