Problem linking photos to forms

Greetings:

I have a ClassMember Form in which I want to link a small (unique) photo to
each record. I have a folder (on my hard drive) all set up with the
individual photos. I have tried a couple of dozen solutions (too numerous
to spell out here) and can't get any closer than having a photo linked to a
Form in name only. No matter what I try, the image will not appear in my
Form. The corresponding OLE field in the Table reads "Package." I am a
relatively experienced Access user (current v.2003) and have spent many
hours pouring through tech manuals as well as searching the Help Files and
the Internet for answers. Where others (in this Newsgroup) have described
this problem, I have studied the responses and followed the instructions,
but still no success. Can anyone explain to me, step-by-step, how to link a
viewable photo to a Form that will change with each record? I am very good
at following specific instructions, but apparently not very good at reading
between the lines. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks . . . Fred

I think I now know why no one has responded to this message. There is no
"step-by-step" method for linking (or embedding) photos in Access Forms that
change with each record. After considerable research regarding this topic,
I have come to the following conclusion: Forget it! First, you have to be
an advanced user (able to understand and write code) to coax Access into
displaying an image. Second, there are so many other issues involved in
correctly displaying the images with any consistency, (especially if you
intend to share the database), it just isn't worth the trouble. It's hard
to understand why Microsoft hasn't developed sophisticated wizards (as they
have for so much of Access's functionality) to handle these pesky chores.
The fact is, from what I've read it almost seems that they are moving away
from this as the program evolves. Maybe someone out there can explain that.
