Problem lauching a URL (in particular Live Meeting) from Outlook

Internet Explorer (IE) times out and displays a "Page not found" Error, when
trying to lauch a URL (in particular, a Live Meeting Invitation) from an
Outlook 2002 Calendar Appointment.

Interestingly, when you "refresh" the screen, the site connects immediately.

Even more interestingly:
if you already have an open IE session,
then click on the URL from the calendar,
the site connects immediately.

This leads me to believe, this is not an IE Security Setting issue. Also,
if type in the URL within an IE Session it also connects without issue. So
the key is having the IE Session already established. Listed below are the
software version details.

IE Version: 6.0.2800.116.xpsp2_gdr.040517-1325CO
Outlook Version: 2002 (10.6515.6735) SP3
OS Version: Windows XP SP1

Thoughts??

1. You click on a link and an IE window doesn't even open:

2. You click on a link and an IE window opens but it doesn't load:

Installing the latest Cumulative Patch for IE (and/or SP2) may solve the
problem as a side-effect. Check in at Windows Update.
