Problem Installing Windows XP

I have tried to install windows XP 2 times. I ahve windows
98SE now. Each time about 25-30 minutes into the
installation process at the first restart of my computer I
receive a STOP:0X000000ED (It also reads
UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_OPTION) Can you help me with this
problem. I have all the requirements listed for this
operating system to work.
