Problem installing security updates

Whenever I try to install a security update for ie6sp1 it
tells me that i need to have ie service pack 1 installed
before I can install the update, but I know that I have
sp1 installed because I installed it twice to be sure.
Also, I have xpsp2 installed which automatically updates
ie. It still gives me the error message. If anyone has
any suggestions I appreciate them.

Information about your version of Windows and service pack can be
found (with XP, anyway, don't know about the others) via
