Problem installing newly downloaded driver

Purchased a game requiring almost any recent Nvidia Geforce series video
driver. The only driver not supported is Geforce 4 MX, which --naturally, is
what we have.
We have uninstalled our Geforce MX, rebooted, checked our propoerties, and
it was not listed. Next we downloaded and installed the Geforce 3 which the
game recommends, however after its installation, when checking the
properties, the original MX is back again! This has happened after 3
different uninstall - download - installs with 3 other Geforce versions.
What are we doing wrong?

Hi Rise & Fall,

Could you post the exact specifications from the game you're
refering to please? I suspect that this is not a software issue...

I think Jimmy is on the money, the GeForce 4 MX is a piece of hardware in
the machine, and attempting to install other GeForce drivers won't do the
trick.

The only solution would be to plump the money down for a new graphics card.

Hi Rise & Fall,

Your MX video card is not compatible with the game unfortunately.
You'll need to upgrade your video card to a better model such as
one of the supported video cards listed in the game's requirements.

Paul and I are unanimous on this. Don't worry, they are affordable.
