problem installing component database

After installing the the licensed XPe development tools/FP 2007 and MSDE I
tried installing the licensed component database on the same system (Win XP
Pro system). Towards the end of the database installation after the progress
bar it repeatedly comes up with the error message

"Setup has detected that other applications are currently using the
component database".

I did this install right after a system reboot and I can't find anything
else that is using the component database. I tried it with MSSQLSERVER both
started and stopped. - no difference. I looked thru the list of services and
could not see anything that might be using the component database.

Does anyone have an idea on why this error is happening.

Is the computer connected to a network?
 
Yes, it's on a wireless network which no one else is using. Print/file
sharing is on. I previously had the eval version oft he development
environment working without a problem. After backing up the database files I
did an uninstall of the eval XPe tools and database and a reinstall of the
licensed versions.

The reason I asked is that I had as similar problem a couple of years
ago when there was no active network on the machine.

Thanks for the links. I finally resolved the problem by doing a reinstall
from scratch.
