I'm running XP and made a startup disk including awdflash.exe and the bios.
WHen I reboot using the startup disk the A: prompt comes up but the c: shows
"invalid disk" error and also doesn't show any other drives. All I want to
do is copy both files to my c: drive. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

I don't know what motherboard you have nor which bios you are trying to
flash, but:

I think the program you are trying to use is dos-based and you need to make
a dos-system diskette to use it. Of course MS does not make this easy with
XP or 2000. There are free sites you can find for versions of DOS if you
don't have some old disks in the basement. The boot disk you can make from
Norton Ghost has PC Dos on it and probably will work.

Do think long and hard before you do a bios flash upgrade. Unless the bios
upgrade will give you real functionality you need and will use, my
suggestion is DON'T do it.

Your C: drive is formatted with the NTFS filesystem and there are no NTFS filesystem drivers loaded, but you
don't need to copy the files to wherever on your hard drive ( but which you can do anyway from within
Windows.) Just flash the BIOS by entering the appropriate command at the A:> prompt.
