problem installing an update

I get the Error Code: 0x8007054F when trying to install an update (Security
Update for Windows XP (KB917953)).I tryed to download it again and install
but the problem remains.Please ,need help.

I also have this problem. I've been able to download the update manually and
install it in safe mode, but when I reboot the update is still listed in
Microsoft Update and fails again. Somewhere it says that tcpip.sys is being
used by something, but no matter what I disable it still says that.
