Problem in starting the windows due to smss.exe error

Can anybody help me out urgently?
When I log on to the windows, it immediately shuts down showing an error
message for just a while.The error is related to smss.exe. It shows failed to
intialize beacause window station is shutting down. The header is : smss.exe-
DLL intialization failed.

There was no Antivirus/antispyware installed at that time.Previously PANDA
was installed, but I removed it just 2 days back the problem appeared.

Does reinstalling Panda fix it? Might try the tools here:
