Hi,

I am facing problem in resizing the textbox on a new slide by draging the
mouse. In order to rectify this i have tried the following:

1. detect and repair from the help menu.
2. Reinstalling Microsoft Office 2003.

But it doesnt worked for me.

Please let me know what exactly is the root cause of this problem.

Do let me know if you need any further information.

Thanks

We'll be glad to help solve the problem, but you have to tell us what it is
first. ;-)

What happens when you drag the corner or edge of the text box using your mouse?

What do you *expect* to happen? (Sometimes PPT's working as it should but want
it to work some other way)

A thought: If this is a text box, not a placeholder, it it is likely to be
that the text box has automatically re-sized itself down to the size of the
text. If you want the shape to be bigger than the text, try using an
autoshape and adding the text to that.

Hi,

Thats ok.....What exaclty i trying here is first resize the
placeholder/textbox using mouse and secondly positioning of the
placeholder/textbox. For example. in a new slide i enters the text and
position is to the left top corner by draging it. In this case draging doesnt
works and also if I try to resize the textbox using mouse draging doesnt
works for me.

I have done the complete install of ms office 2003 with sp 2.

Thanks
Karam

Let's see if it's a PPT problem or a mouse problem.

After entering some text press ESC. This should give you selection handles
around the shape the text is inside.

Now use the arrow keys to see if you can move the text box around.

Hi,

I m ok with the option automatic resizing but what if I want it to be resize
by draging the mouse and change the position in a slide.

That's fine but unless you answer the questions we ask, we have no way to help you.

Were you able to do that?
