Problem in playing downloading music in CD player

I have downloaded few hindi songs from different sites.They all are in mp3
format and playing very well in Windows Media Player. Using Windows Media
Player I burned two Memorex and these two CD played well on Computer. but
when i tried to play in my AIWA CD player, they didnt work.Earlier i had
burnt two PHILLIPS CDR using the same method & they did well on AIWA. So,
what is the posible reason with Memorex i burnt later..? Expecting a detail
suggestion as I am new in music downloading area.

Disks can be burned in 2 different formats. A "music" CD is the same format
as purchased CDs and will play on most newer players. Player must indicate
that it plays CDRs. Files are converted to CDA files.

A "data" CD can contain MP3s (or any other file type). It will hold hundreds
of songs as opposed to the "music" CD that contains 10-20. It can only be
played on a computer or a CD player that specifically states that it plays
MP3s.

The disk manufacturer shouldn't matter. There are both data and music blank
CDs sold but the only difference is a flag on the music CDs that allow them
to be burned on stand alone (non computer) burners. The flag indicates that
a royalty has been paid for the music.

Thanks a lot for your suggestion. I am having Memorex written that it has a
capacity ti write & rewrite,700 MB and 80 min record time. So, using WMP i
downloaded around 16 songs and they are of 78 mintues. And the CD played well
in Computer but not with my CD player. So, is it that while burning CD the
format is of DATA type so it goes well with computer but not of Audio type
so it didnt play in CD player..? As i havent seen any option in WMP to
separate data CD or Audio CD while i was burning the Memorex. Please, help me.

that gives the burn type, audio, data, or highmat audio. Go to help "burning

I am using Windows 98 nad when i give the command Copy to CD, the screen
shows items to copy which i have selected and the other part of the screen
shows Roxio CD burning the Icons on the right are Copy, Erase disk, delete,
create folder & display properties..so, when i select Copy it directly
selects the items to copy...i am unable to get the Menu to selct the CD type..
..

My advice was for WMP10. You will need a Roxio expert. I can't help.
