Problem in my PC!!!!!

My original home page is www.yahoo.com but now when I opened my pc my home page is http://thecoolpics.com, then viruses came out in my pc. I tried to change my home page but I can't. I can't opened my registry editor and my task manager too it says "registry editing has been disabled by your administrator" or "task manager has been disabled by your administrator". can anyone help me on this?
 
Have you tryed all the above via safe mode?


Please give us some more details of your machine especially the operating system!!
 
well my pc is Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz, 256 MB of RAM, Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 1. what's a via safe mode?
 
Everytime I restart my pc viruses pop-up in my temp internet files and C:\WINDOWS\system\svhost a virus named worm\qucan.c. I need a quick reply pls.. HELP

Are you on a networked PC?
If so you will need to get the administrator to clean up your pc for you.

If not and it is your own PC, then do you run anti-spyware like Spybot - Search & Destroy? If not download it as well as Ad-Aware both are free downloads off the net. Do you have anti-virus & a firewall on your pc?
