I have a slight problem importing an Excel table into Access 2003.
The table has more than 100 records. If I try to import it into Access the
last row does not appear in Access. If I go to Excel file hide about 100 rows
then the last row is seen in Access. So every time I want to import an Excel
file to Access 2003 I have to hide some rows first in order for Access to
import the last row properly. I had no problem in Office XP as it worked
fine. But after the organisation i work for upgraded the systems I have this
weird problem.
Could any body help me to understand what goes wrong?

What happens if you copy the Excel data into a new workbook? Does it
import all right then?

Yes, it does. The problem is even if I open an Excel file and modify it in
some minor way and save it the problem is resolved.
The main issue in here is that the Excel file(s) which I need to use are
extracted from a homemade database. So I want to use them without even
opening.
Thanks for help.

It sounds therefore as if there's something non-standard about the Excel
files created by the other database. Can you get it to export its data
in text files instead?

Thanks for trying to help me.
The Excel files created by the database are standard as they used to work in
Excel XP and previous versions. Unfortunately the database can produce only
Excel files. What really disappoints me is that used to be working fine until
the system had been upgraded to Office 2003.
