I have FireFox as my default browser and when I run
automatic updates, it says it can't connect to the internet
- which is connected. But if I open IE, then it updates
fine. Not a real problem for me, but still a bug, IMHO.

Not a bug at all, you must use IE for WU.
This problem also has nothing to do with this group or MSAS :>)

All the best,

Since MSAS is primarily targetted at protecting IE, it would make sense to
have IE be the default browser for updating MSAS. FireFox I would expect to
have their own built in AntiSpyware utilities since they use the open source
model for everything.

.

Get the extension User Agent Switcher from Firefox's
extension page. It can fool sites into thinking you're
using IE, Opera or Netscape. It has worked for me.
