Problem generating a movie after editing is complete

I've been using MovieMaker for serveral months and this is the first time I
get into trouble. After editing the project (video effects, transitions,
music, titles...) I want to generate an AVI file. I'm using AVI DV (PAL)
settings because I want a high quality, but the audio and video are
completely unsynchronized even when in the preview window all it looks and
sounds ok. I have generated half a dozen movies this way with no trouble at
all, so I'm completely confused.
Here are some settings I use:
1) Windows XP Professional Edition, Pentium IV 3,2 GHz, 2GB RAM, 80 GB free
disk space (estimated movie space=8GB).
2) Movie duration: 35 min
3) Music files format: mp3

The first thing I would try is to try turning off any filters you may have
in your compatibility tab. See the following post for more details.
