Some XP some 2000 OS systems. Several systems show exceptionally high
packets received activity when viewing the network connection status.
The number keeps increasing rapidly. I think it is causing our
problem. This is causing these systems to be very, very slow.
For instance - when I click on an Iexplore icon to access the
internet, it is as long as 1 minute before the iexplorer window even
opens. I don't mean a minute until the web page shows, I mean a
minute until the applications window even opens. AND if right click
"my network places" and then "properties", the actual properties
window doesn't open for a long time - 15 seconds on one try...
Now if I disable the network connection, these things happen at normal
speeds...
I have run virus detection software and spyware detection software on
these systems and that is not the problem..
What can be sending all these packets to these systems to bog them
down??? And how can I find the problem??
