Xavier

I am having a problem exporting a report as a *.txt file.
For some reason when saved as this format the file looses
some lines. It can be saved as any other type fine but I
need it in .txt and would like to skip the saving it to
a .rtf and converting it to .txt. Any help will be greatly
appreceated.

Hi Xavier,

My name is Amy Vargo. Thank you for using the Microsoft Access Newsgroups.

You may lose some formatting when saving a report as a Text file. Can you
save the report as a Snapshot file instead? You can download Snapshot
viewer. It essentially takes a picture of the report, and shows you the
snapshot so that the snapshot file lookes exactly like the Access report.

I hope this helps! If you have additional questions on this topic, please
respond back to this posting.

Hi Amy,

Unfortanetly I can not use snapshot because the file im
tring to generate will then be pulled into another program
which only reads .txt Thank you for the help If you can
think of anything else I can try I will apreciate it.

Can you write directly to the file, rather than creating a report and
exporting it?

I got it to export now. The problem was that some of the
text boxes overlaped without me noticing and that was what
was causing me to loose the data. Thank you all for your
help I apreciate it alot.
