I need to send about 20 photos by email but can't find out how to do this.
Please help. The xp system seems to want me to send them one at a time? I
have tried to publish to the web but i got an error message telling me the
file was too large and needed to be reduced. i have already zipped and
compressed it but am now totally lost!!! Help please, thanks

Photo files (jpg) are already compressed files, so zipping them will not
compress them further.
However, you can reduce the size of your files as given below.
Even if you do so, your Internet provider will have a limit on how large a
file you can send and the recipient will also have a limit on the size
he/she can receive. So you may want to check this.
You should be aware that reducing file size as given below is fine for
display on a computer screen, but not very good for printing.

To decrease the size of the file for e-mail, web publishing, etc.

Go to this site and download the free Image Resizer. Exe file in one of your
folder.

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Once in your folder, double click on it to install it.

Once installed, you right click on a photo file (or on a group of selected
photo files).

Click on Resize image on the opening menu.

A window will open, select the size you want.

New files will be added in your folder, same name as original file but with
the word (small) or (custom) added.

The first time you use it, you may not see Resize image on the opening menu
after you right click on a photo file or if you see it and click on it, it
may not work. If so, do the following:

Click on Run, click on Start and type the following in the textbox:

REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL

and press the Enter key.

Note that there is a space between ...32 and SHI.

You should get a "success" message after pressing the Enter key.

Also, you can download a free photo editing software from here to resize
pictures and edit photos:

http://irfanview.com/

or another free software:

www.faststone.org

From this last one, you can directly e-mail a picture and it will
automatically resize it.

Another free one to do the same is:

www.picasa.com

Picasa has a nice feature to exchange pictures with friends under "Hello"
