problem emailing document w/pictures

I created a new document with text and some imported jpeg
logos. The new document prints perfectly, but when I try
to email as an attachment (in Outlook), the jpeg logos
disappear and all that remains is an outline with a
smaller box in the upper left hand corner with a little
red 'x' in it. What have I done wrong? Thanks.
 
How did you insert the graphics? Insert | Picture | From File? Did you embed
or link the graphics?

I embedded the graphics, I believe.
