Problem downloading email

I just started the trial version of Office 2003 after purchasing a new
laptop. I've migrated my old files to my new computer and I can see my old
emails in Outlook. But I can't download the 400+ emails I've accumulated over
the past week while I've been wrestling with my new computer.

HI,
which Version have you used before you migrated?
Do you know, that the older versions are not compatible with the new one?!
 
Thanks for your response. It turned out that when I used PC Relocator to
migrate files from my old computer to the new one, I also migrated some buggy
system files. I took the computer back to the store to restore it back to
factory settings. At the same time we agreed that I didn't want/need a
computer w/XP Pro to use on my home system, but, rather, needed the XP Home
OS. Unfortunately I wasn't able to make an exchange at that time since the
store was out of stock, but will be able to do the exchange next week. And I
expect everything will go swimmingly after that.
Lessons learned: (1) don't use PC Relocator if there's any chance that your
old computer is buggy or has system flaws and (2) XP Pro OS is configured for
an office network environment; XP Home works on POP mail accounts.
