Hi - can anyone help with this setup?

I want my XP Pro box to dial a laptop running windows 95 - so that the
windows 95
machine can access the internet through my XP Pro box

In essence I need to set up IP routing between XP and 95 over a dialup
connection.

*** The machine running 95 can not dial out (incoming calls only) ***

I have set up version 1.4 of microsofts dialup software on the laptop (which
comes with the dialup
server for 95)

I've set up my XP machine to call the 95 machine using ppp, and the laptop
modem answers, but the
XP box complains that the 95 machine is not responding when it tries to
validate user/password.

Anyone have any ideas - ive tried all the ppp settings I can think of

-also is there a shareware ppp server I can run on 95 - I'm not too keen on
the 95 dialup server.

Any help much appreciated!

Thanks

Shane

You may have to skip using passwords and such. 95 doesn't know
anything about network login and such as best as I remember. Been
along time, but of the two types of login, network was the one
not to use.
