Hi

while trying to restore a microsoft sql-database, I receive an error-message sayin
that the operating system (windows xp) reported, there is not have enough memor
on my harddisk left
If I try to manually raise the database size beyond 4 GB the same message appears
Explorer displays much more free space than needed on every drive, but I eve
get an error when attempting to copy the complete database (about 8GB) from th
local network. So there seems to be a problem with the OS rather than Microsft SQL

Thanks for your help

What file system are you using FAT32 or NTFS? I seem to recall FAT32 can't
have a file larger than 4 GB.

I use FAT32 but I have another file on the same drive with size 5 GB (the backup-file of the database).
