I have windows 2000 pro. I am trying to create access to
the internet via dial up. It all goes well till I try to
give it a name and it gives me an error saying you can't
use periods, spaces, etc. at the beginning of name.
However I dont put a period or space at the beinngin in
fact I have even tried letting it use the default name
that windows assigns it and still get the saem error. I
belive something is corrupted. How do I remove that
service and reinstall it? Or is there something else that
will fix this problem.

Thank for the help,
Mike

Hi Mike -

Sorry I don't have an answer for you. I actually ran into
the same scenario. Did you resolve your problem yet? If
so, what route did you take?

Dan.

Mike,

So I'm not the only one with this problem. I haven't
determined what the problem is but I did notice that my
Remote Access Conection Management service is not and will
not start. Probably not related to problem, but anything
is possible.

Tony
