hi all !!
My utf-8 (unicode) font face had changed,
how can i change it back to Arial ?

thanx !

Hi Omri :-)

You don't mention which version of Windows you have, but, try the following
and see if it helps:

Go toTools>Internet Options>General tab>Fonts (at the bottom of the dialog
box)
In the Web page font window reselect the Arial and then click OK.
Close IE and then reopen and see if your text is now Arial.

Hope this helps.

hi jan, thanx, but the problem is that i can't RESELECT the arial font
because the font i need to change is Unicode and not the raguler hebrew font
.....
that's the big problem ... i tried all the lang. but it won't work ...

my windows version is XP pro SP2 ...

thanx alot !

Hi Omri :-)

OK...is Unicode grayed out or otherwise unavailable? Or, can you not select
it? I'm not sure I understand exactly what you the problem is and where you
are trying to change to font. You say "the Unicode font has changed"...so
does that mean the font on the dropdown?

dear jan, there isn't unicode dropdown manu ... just "simple" lang. like
english, hebrew, france atc.... so there isn't a place to change the unicode
font on Iexplorer, maybe on the REGISTRY.
the font changed suddenly .... don't know why ...
no dropdown

thanx again !

Sorry...didn't mean to make it sound dumbed-down, just trying to get a clear
picture of what you were saying. <s> Things can get changed for any number
of reasons, a 3rd party program, an update, a new program install, etc.

Make sure that Auto-select at the top of the Encoding box in View is not
checked

Then go to IE>Tools>Internet Options>General>Accessibility
Make sure none of the boxes there are checked if not needed.

Then go to the Languages tab and make sure that the language you want is in
the list, and at the top of the list. If it's not there, install it. If
it's not at the top, move it to the top of the list, then click OK and close
IE.

Also, reinstall the language from your OS CD.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

It is a known thing that you can NOT choose a font for Unicode:
- Unicode(UTF-8) is one of the items in View/Encoding list
but
- there is no Unicode(UTF-8) in the "Language Script" list you se by
pressing Fonts button in Tools/Options

See http://home.att.net/~jameskass/utf8ornot.htm
-
it suggests (a trick) that you choose the large Unicode forn which you
want IE to use for Unicode(UTF-8) encoding as a font for
"Latin based" item in the "Language Script" list.

Hi Paul :-)

Thank you very much for the very thorough information on this issue. I have
added it to my resource library for future reference. <s>
