I have a file which contains

text

picture

more text

so; I can centre the text but I can't get the inserted picture to
centre. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Thanks

If the picture is In Line With Text and in its own paragraph, then Ctrl+E or
the Center button on the toolbar will work the same as for text. And if you
are not needing to wrap text around the picture, this is the best way to
handle it (inline).

If the picture is wrapped, then you will need to use controls from the Draw
menu on the Drawing toolbar. Under Draw | Align and Distribute, you must
first click on "Relative to Page." Then go to Draw | Align and Distribute
again and choose Center.
