Problem by start

Hi

I have a new computer with windows XP. after the first
connexion on internet I've get the virus SARS (firewall
was not activated per default !).
After having downloaded the updates from microsoft, to
remove this virus, the computer started to have problems
during the starting launch procedure:
I explain, easy summarized, the green rod (the one on the
all first screen, with "WINDOWS XP home edition" which
goes from left to right and right to left stopps its
movement. Then nothing is to do, I have to shut down the
current...
Do you know the solution ? Thanks

No I didn't. I thought the problem could be bonded with
the files I've deleted from my task manager, on behalf of
microsoft support, in order to remove this virus.
System restore ? I should try it

firstly system restored to a date posterior to the
infection, then Win Xp re installed. Thanks

PS: For papa bikingis, sorry, you should read "bound"
or "relied", I'm a beginner with english
