Problem Browsing Network

I have a problem browsing the network by selecting "Entire Network" and
"Microsoft Windows Network". I see two icons, one for the Domain the
client pcs and servers are in and another icon for a workgroup a couple
of computers are in. Opening the icon for the workgroup successfully
displays the couple of computers in it. However, opening the Domain
generates a "<domain> is not accessible. The list of servers for this
workgroup in not currently available".

browstat status generates
Browsing is NOT active on domain.
Master name cannot be determined from GetAdapterStatus.

browstat getpdc <transport> <domain> generates the correct pdc

browstat getmaster <transport> <domain> generates
Unable to get Master: Access is denied.

browstat view <transport> \<pdc> generates
Unable to remote API to \\<pdc> on transport <transport>: No more
connections can be made to this remote computer at this time because
there are already as many connections as the computer can accept.

I get the above error regardless of which server I issue the view
against.

net view generates
System error 6118 has occurred.
The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available

I get the same responses if I issue the above commands from a client pc
or a server including the pdc.

All machines are able to resolve the names to ip adresses and are able
to map drives using \\<servername>\<sharename>

There are no firewalls installed.

Can someone help me before I pull all of my hair out?

Regards,
cjs

Any errors in domain controller's event viewer? Make sure the DC is the master browser.
