So is this a wireless connection, or are you wired into the router via an
Ethernet cable?
If you're using a wireless connection, are you using Windows to manage it,
or a third party app (such as the software that comes with wireless
adapters)?

While logged in as the user, go to control panel, internet options, make
sure there's no proxy setting configured for the LAN connection
Also run an ipconfig /all in a command prompt and try to ping:

* your default gateway IP (LAN IP of router)
* your DNS server IP(s)
* something by name, such as www.google.com

....and report back with findings.

Well i managed to solve it, with ure first suggestion, there were proxy
settings selected, now its working fine, thankyou for your help!
