My computer told me there were updates so I got them. Now my Microsoft Outlook link on my desktop isnt working. The icon is gone and the name is
Microsoft Outlook.{00020D75-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}
It cant be opened now, I got the message about not knowing what program created the file? Any ideas??

Ang,

Have you tried just launching outlook.exe? To find this file launch
cmd.exe. When cmd.exe opens navigate to the root of your system partition.
Type "dir outlook.exe /s" without the quotes. Navigate to the directory
where this file is found and try to launch it. This is a workaround and
should allow you to still use Outlook.

You could also try to restore to a point before you installed the updates.
Just launch %SystemRoot%\System32\restore\rstrui.exe and find a restore
point that is dated just before you installed the updates.

I hope this helps,
