Problem adding domain user to local power users

Hi,
I am trying to add a domain account to the local computer
power user group and I am getting an error. It
says "Processing failed because the specified domain does
not exist or could not be contacted." I don't understand
this since I am picking the user I want to add from the
list of account on my domain using the "Look in" pull down.

Yes. I added it to the domain before trying to make the
domain user a power user on the local station.

try removing the machine from the domain and re adding it
