Problem accessing WinXP box on network

Hello, I have a Windows 2000 and a Windows XP
Professional computer on my network, and I can't acces
XP' files via the 2k computer. It always asks me for a
password (\\my computer\the_folder_i_shared). I didn't
set any password anywhere.

Can someone help me ? Thanks!!

I had this problem a while back and if I recall you need
to set up a User account your XP pc and allow that 'User'
access to your W2K pc. This is accomplished through the
Control Panel|Administrative tools|Computer
Management|Users and Groups|Users. Make sure both pc's
have are under the same "Workgroup" name. This this helps.
