Hi,
At home I have a 2k server running rras on a dialup, my pc then sits behind
this accessing the net through ras.
At work, we have a server however all the client pc's access the net through
an adsl router. Recently, I configured a 2 way pptp tunnel from my home
server to the office one, all works well. Now, at home, I use NTL, and their
news server is a bit pap, but at work we use demon, and its lots better. I
figured if I added a static route on my server to use the tunnel to work for
the demon news server, I'd be able to use the better server at home, and
from my home server this works, it downloads all the groups and I can read
articles etc. (normally this would be blocked, you can only access their
server when connected from one of their nodes). But, if I try this from my
client pc at home, it wont work. I get an nntp 800ccc0e error (not sure what
that means).
Where am I going wrong? I dont think I need a route adding on my pc as it
would only point the same place as the default gateway surely? I did a
tracerout, and the first hop is my server, second hop is the server at work
(so its going the right way) but after that it times out. Any ideas?

(as an addition, the tracert from my server merrily goes off to the server
at work, same as my client pc, but the next hop is the internet router and
off out to demon. Seems the problem is from my client pc, the server at work
is stopping it)
