probably an easy fix....but can't figure it out

hi...

i'm sure this is an easy question....hopefully...but i can't seem to figure
it out...

here is what happens....i restart...everything loads fine...then it clicks
off, and when it clicks back on everything is jumbo size....the windows, the
icons....the display area has shrunk in screen space....and i don't know why,
or how to fix it...can someone help?? thanks....

Sounds like you are booting "Safe mode" ther emust be a hardware issue.

What do you mean by 'clicks off'? Do you mean the computer shuts down then
restarts without prompting?
Or do you mean the screen flickers, giving the appearance that the screen
clicks off, then returns with over-sized icons, etc?
My first thought would be a maleware of some sort.
If you have any programs like SpyBot Search and Destroy, Ad-Aware, or the
likes, run them.. If you don't search Google for the free versions,
download, install and run them. If you haven't already, run your antivirus
program.

The last person the responded to your post suggested spywar may be at
fault for your "Jumbo Sized" icons. I would also check drivers for
the video card to see if they have anything to do with the resolution
of your screen. Dont over look the spyware this is just a fall-back
post in the incident that the spyware search fails to fix your
problem.
