I've got an older application (Cakewalk ProAudio 6) that I'm running on with
an Intel Pent-D 3.0 Duel Core Processor with over a Gig of memory installed.
I've noticed the CPU History in TaskMan when the app loads - only one of the
two cores is having any activity, and when I load a project it slowly climbs
up to 100% - eventually locking up the App. I've also noticed in
Performance Monitor that the paging file is maxed out while in TaskMan the
page file is barley touched.
My question is if it's possible to add a tweak to get both cores involved in
running the app - and if there's a way to get the app to use the extended
memory instead of just the system memory.
Can anyone point me in the right direction - or is this a hopeless cause?
