A recent event revealed a gap in my understanding. I haven't tried doing
this for years and now it doesn't work - at least not the same as it used
to.
A friend and I have the same make/model printer. Mine connects to port
USB002 on my XP pro machine.
I had him print a document to file, zip and send it to me so I could print
it. That failed so now I'll just get the source file and the application
that goes with it. Then I can print a copy of it but...
In the past, to print the file I would to copy the file to PRN or LPT1. I
figured I could copy it to USB002. No!! So I tried the PRINT command from
DOS. That fails too. It appears that this method would work if my printer
was on LPT1. How do I achieve it in my situation?
TIA
