Hi all,

A PC was upgraded from Win2K to WinXP, sp2 recently. The owner had a
folder marked private under win2k. Now, we cannot seem to open it,
even being logged in as admin, gives message " Access Denied".

Any thoughts on how to access the folder?

Thanks,

Nal

As long as encryption isn't involved you can take ownership.
Explorer|"folder"|File|Properties|Security|Advanced|Owner and take
ownership, check the box for 'Replace owner on subcontainers and objects'
