Hi There,
Our computer gets used by the whole familly and it concerns me that during
internet browsing, images, deleted files, history etc remain on the machine
even if not visable. I don't want the machine to have any objectionable
material on it. I don't particulary want to know what it is but I just don't
want it there.
Is there anything that I can do about this please?
Thanks
Buster

1. Give users their own accounts. Your account has Administrator
permissions, the others do not.

2. Install Parental Control software.

Thanks for the advice Leonard and yep they have their own user accounts
already but I'm not going to use parental control as the users are not young.

I use ccleaner as suggested by Malke but this still does not answer the
problem of having deleted stuff that is still there.

We just value privacy and security and worry about there being records that
others can recover if say the machine gets stolen. We use th machine for
just about everything including banking.

There seems to be a lot of software on the market to deal with this but are
they any good?

Cheers
Buster
