Privacy/Erase Tracks

This function does NOT work completely. Specifically,
there is an option to remove the IE history and and
option to remove the typed URLs. I personally had it run
and selected all options. Most all history was erased,
but there was still some, even after re-boot.

Example, erase it all, then reboot. Then go to the
address bar and type http://a or http://b , .... it will
display what you have as favorites, which is fine, but it
will also display some of your previous web surf history,
even though you just deleted it all. The only thing that
will get rid of all history addresses is iehv.exe, it is
freeware google it, Again geeks 1 - Microsoft
NOTHING!!!!!

Just for your own info, not even that gets rid of all the
surfing history. For proof do a search for .dat files and
then open and read the IE5 history and you will see all
the sites you just visited. This problem takes some
configuration tweaks in the reg to overcome as well as
several free cleaning utilities like IDSuite and CCleaner.
Or you could buy WindowWasher and get the .dat plug in.
Turn off all auto updates and autocomplete as well. Safety
and privacy are not as easy at they seem. TTFN.
