Are you sure it's an Ethernet print server and not token ring?
Does printing a test page show Ethernet configuration?
Have you assigned an IP address to the printer?
Are the printer and computer's IP addresses in the same network with the
same netmask?
How are you trying to "start" the print server?
What operating system is on the computer?
How is the computer trying to access the print server: port 9100, lpr,
FTP, telnet?

ok i got:

Ethernet address: 00:40:68....
Cable Tyoe: 10BASE2 (that is not correct - how ot change it?)
Link status: N/A
Error: ST:Cable not connected
NetWare: Enabled
Mode: Unknown
Print Server Name: ESI1674436
Frame Format: Ethernet 802.2
Trap Destination: 00.00.00.00 : 00.00.00.00.00.00
TCP/IP: Enabled
IP adress: Unisng network protocol (0.0.0.0)
IP adress source: using network protocol (0.0.0.0)
Boot protocols: Gleaning RARP BOOTP DHCP
subnet mask: 255.0.0.0
default gatway adress: 0.0.0.0
trap destination: 255.255.255.255

i konw that is not correct but i think that LED light should show what
cabble (UTP) is connected - but id doesnt :-(

The HP MIO print servers autodetect. Make sure that nothing is
connected to the 10base2 port; if there's a t-adapter or a terminator on
it, remove that.

For that matter, is this an HP print server? The options look a little
unusual.

Okay, so it's an Extendnet print server. (In the future, please mention
such details earlier.)

You can find software and manuals for it here:

http://www.troygroup.com/support/Connectivity/Software/index.asp

There's also a link to contact support there.

Looks like it can be configured via Extendnet software, a built-in web
page, telnet, or even from HP's JetAdmin software.

None of which helps you change it to use a different port through the
network. If it can't be done through the printer menus, your only
option may be to connect it to a 10base2 network.
