Hello,
PowerPoint for Windows includes three different ways of printing: Color,
Grayscale and Pure Black and White. There are lots of good reasons for
this, one of which is saving toner when printing slides containing dark
backgrounds with light text.
Color - Send all color information to printer and let printer driver decide
how to interpret and render colors
Grayscale - Default is for Text and lines black, fills grayscale, imported
objects grayscale, slide background white
Pure Black and White - Default is for Text and Lines print black, fills
white, imported objects grayscale, slide background white
You are using PowerPoint 2002 and 2003, you can use the Print Preview
command to see how a color presentation will print to a black and white
printer for each of the three possible print options.
Also, while in Grayscale and/or Black and White views while editing the
slides (varies depending on version of PowerPoint) you can adjust each
objects settings (change them from "Default" behavior above) to get the
desired output when printing using Grayscale or Black and White print
options.
