I'm sure this is a stupid question...but here goes
anyway. Why can't I print anything from the web? I can
print in every other program but Internet Explorer. I
have XP and am very frustrated over the lack of printing.
I can't preview, the printer doesn't even ever get the
message that I wanted it to print anything. Any
suggestions? The whole surfairy thing didn't help because
I don't have it on my computer I guess, I also disabled
3rd party something or others like troubshooting said to
do but to no avail.

Try this:
I had a problem not being able to print from either I.E. or Outlook Express,
and if I tried to use Page Setup, I.E. would hang.

The version info in the Help/About was completely gone. I got paid help from
Microsoft,
and the following steps fixed the problem.

First, using Internet Options, delete all cookies, temp files and objects.
This might
fix it for some people.

In my case, I also had to use regsvr32 from the start/run command to
re-register vbscript.dll and jscript.dll.

At the Start/Run applet execute these commands
regsvr32 vbscript.dll
regsvr32 jscript.dll

Then, thank god, everything worked. A frustrated I.E. 6 users.

If all fails remove the printer and reinstall. Make sure you have the latest
driver for your printer.
